Ovulation Tracking

Take the guesswork out of your fertility journey. Bulk-billed support to help you understand your cycle and improve your chances of conceiving.

Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF, ovulation tracking can give you clarity, confidence, and control over your fertility journey. This Medicare-covered service is available for up to three cycles and uses simple blood tests to monitor your hormone levels and pinpoint your most fertile days.

You’ll also gain valuable insights into how your menstrual cycle works, the best timing for intercourse, and how factors like age can influence your chances of falling pregnant.

And because every woman’s body is different, Dr Farag and the team at Coastal Women’s Health will interpret your results and guide you every step of the way.

How it Works

Step 1: Get a referral
Ask your GP or specialist for a referral to Dr Farag for ovulation tracking.

Step 2: Meet with Dr Farag
At your first appointment, Dr Farag will get to know your medical history and explain the process in detail. You’ll have a series of blood tests to track your hormones and identify when ovulation is likely to occur.

Step 3: A final blood test
Around seven days after ovulation, you’ll come in for one more blood test to check your progesterone levels. This confirms whether ovulation has occurred and gives us a clearer picture of your fertility window.

Step 4: Time for a pregnancy test
After this final stage, you’ll be advised when to take a home pregnancy test. If you don’t conceive after a few cycles, Dr Farag can discuss next steps and further fertility investigations or treatment options.

How much does it cost?

Our ovulation tracking service is bulk billed for up to three cycles for all patients with a valid Medicare card, meaning no out-of-pocket costs for most women.
